Accountants and More is a full service accounting firm with seven offices — Forster/Tuncurry, Taree, Coffs Harbour, Woolgoolga, Warriewood, Bundall on the Gold Coast and West Burleigh — and one 1800 number that reaches all of them. The practice describes itself as just what the name says: a depth of knowledge in accounting, with a suite of additional services around it.

The published work runs across six service lines — business consulting, taxation solutions, BAS reports, financial planning, superannuation plans and payroll management. Around them sit company audits, including audits of trusts, clubs and associations; compliance management; business set-up and ASIC company returns; benchmarking, budgets and cashflow reports; capital gains tax advice; and the setup and administration of self managed super funds.

The principal of the firm is Terry Murphy, a Certified Practising Accountant. The team has a wide cross-section of skills, qualifications and specialties, and the majority of it is degree and diploma qualified. Lending services are authorised by Finconnect (Australia) Pty Ltd, ABN 45 122 896 477, Australian Credit Licence 385888. Liability limited by a scheme approved under Professional Standards Legislation.

Taxation for business and for individuals: income tax returns, GST reconciliation, BAS and PAYG preparation and lodgement, and compliance management — notices, reminders of deadlines, payments and lodgements.
Business consulting
Strategic planning, business plans and valuations, business management and restructuring, benchmarking, budgets and financial plans, starting a business, marketing, and IT consulting including accounting software.
BAS reports
Business Activity Statements prepared in full, or prepared by the business and checked over here. Online banking solutions load bank statements straight into the accounting software so reconciliation runs faster.
Superannuation plans
Setup and administration of self managed super funds, the setup of family, unit and discretionary trusts, Centrelink benefits and correspondence, lump sum withdrawals, and general advice on assets held inside a fund.
Payroll management
Calculating and processing pays, arranging direct transfers to employee accounts, payroll tax calculations, group certificates and the associated reporting — including salary packaging options such as novated leases.
Financial planning
Super funds, family trusts, property advice, investments, retirement income plans, asset protection and personal insurance, and advice on ownership structures. The practice publishes a general advice warning with it.
