About
In the practice's own words, from its website
Edwards & Partners is a client-focused accounting practice providing financial services to a wide range of clients using all types of business structures.
The practice works from offices in West Perth and Geraldton. It employs local people and, through an ongoing commitment to the region, sets out to understand what its clients there need. Before it can help, it has to listen and understand a client's goals so that it can genuinely contribute to reaching them.
Robert Warren and Rodney Owen are the principals, both Chartered Accountants with over 25 years of experience in public practice. Both hold limited authorities to advise under the Financial Services Licence held by Merit Wealth, covering the establishment, operation and maintenance of self-managed superannuation funds.

Services
Accounting and financial reporting
Preparation and analysis of the regular financial reports a business needs for its own management, and to meet ongoing statutory and taxation reporting obligations. Monthly, quarterly or annual.
Bookkeeping
Help identifying the right accounting software for a business, along with implementation, training and ongoing maintenance. The practice can keep the books itself, or match a business with a bookkeeper from its network.
Budgeting and forecasting
A budget belongs in any good business plan, and is a requirement for most finance applications. The practice designs a budget or forecasting tool appropriate to the business, then reviews and updates it as part of ongoing management.
Management consulting
Acting as a sounding board, and bringing years of experience in business management to a review of how a business is operating.
Company secretarial management
A fixed-fee service for a company's annual ASIC obligations: lodgement of annual review returns, preparation of annual minutes and resolutions, maintenance of statutory records, and use of the practice as a registered office. Incorporation of new companies and trusts as well.
Income tax
Registered tax agents preparing and lodging returns for individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships, self-managed superannuation funds, deceased estates and not-for-profits, with advice on Australian and, where relevant, foreign provisions.
BAS and IAS reporting
Preparation and lodgement of BAS and IAS returns, covering indirect taxes from GST through to fuel tax credits and wine equalisation tax, plus registration for GST, FBT, PAYGI and PAYGW when a business starts or grows.
Tax planning
A review of a client's tax position well before 30 June, rather than after the year has closed, so that any strategies available can still be used and the cash-flow effect is known in advance.
