What we are

AusTax AI is a directory and matching platform. It lists every tax agent and BAS agent registered with the Tax Practitioners Board (TPB) in Australia, by suburb, and lets taxpayers post a request that we match to practices by location, service type and language. The platform does not lodge returns and does not give tax advice.

Where the data comes from

Listings come from the TPB public register (data.gov.au, CC BY 4.0), refreshed monthly. Contact details come from each practice's own published website, or are entered by the practice after it claims its listing. Registration status can lag the live register by up to a month — always verify at tpb.gov.au before engaging a practitioner.

How we make money

Free for taxpayers. Practices pay a small fee to unlock a client request, and optional Pro and Practice subscriptions add a self-managed website, a custom domain and a white-label client document portal. Listing is free and paying never changes the registration check.

Privacy

Requests are sent anonymised; contact details are visible only after a practice unlocks a request, and every email carries a one-click withdraw link. The free receipt organiser stores tax file numbers encrypted and never emails them. See the Privacy Policy.
