About
In the practice's own words, from its website
Kennerlys is an accounting and advisory practice at 37 Ord Street, West Perth. The firm as it stands now commenced on 15 June 1990, when Don Kennerly returned to West Perth to start it; the company it practises through has been registered with the Tax Practitioners Board since 1996 under registration 62422009.
Don remained at the heart of the practice until 2000, when Angus Plummer took it on as its next custodian. In 2006 Angus brought in Lejo Ouwendyk, who has been Managing Director since, supported by a team of professional and administration staff. Sue Peterson, the firm's longest-serving team member, was with it from the beginning until she died in December 2018.
The practice specialises in taxation, superannuation, family business and enterprise development, and works with clients who have been with it for twenty and thirty years and more, through the generations of their family businesses. Liability is limited by a scheme approved under Professional Standards Legislation.

Enterprise development
A review of your operation against a globally adopted business excellence framework: the key drivers for growth and profitability, the performance indicators to measure progress by, and an action plan with a reporting methodology that keeps the review going.
Structuring and corporate secretarial
Advice on the legal structure a business should operate in — partnership, company, family trust, unit trust or a combination — with the benefits and risks of each set out. For every company the practice establishes, it provides a corporate secretarial service for the ongoing ASIC obligations.
Family business
A specialised range of professional services developed for the family business market, on the understanding that working with a family business calls for a particular level of understanding and trust — the future of the family is invested in the business.
Retirement, risk and estate planning
Retirement planning across the sources likely to contribute to your income in retirement, insurance weighed against your financial position and lifestyle requirements, and estate planning conversations about control, equity and fairness — including attorney and guardianship powers and health directives.
Investment and portfolio management
An investment committee guided by specialist asset consultants, meeting quarterly, with individually tailored portfolios reviewed regularly against the framework the firm publishes — asset allocation as the key driver of returns, independent research, effective diversification, and the impact of tax and costs on performance.
